TRIP LIST 2001/2002

Below is a list of trips which are up and coming for this term.  We’ll try and stick to it as much as possible.  Things can change though according to circumstances we’ll keep you informed.  If there is something which you really what to do let us know we might be able to sort it out for you.

To get yourself on a trip simply keep an eye out for the trip lists which go round on a Wednesday after the pool session or give a committee member a ring.   There is usually an upper limit on numbers we can take so don’t hang around get your name down.  To secure your place on a trip we do need a deposit (this pays for accommodation, bus hire etc).  The deposit will usually be about a third of the trip cost (more details later).  Please do try and get your deposits in (we usually take names for weekend trips about two weeks in advance) as trips have fallen through in the past as people failed to pay up and we couldn’t secure accommodation in time!!

Anyway enough waffle here’s the low-down............

13th and 20th October Salford Quays Water Sports Centre

It’s just a huge pool session only the waters not as warm (which is defiantly an incentive to get your supports right).

27th October River Burrs Bury

An ideal trip to hone your skills before tackling bigger and badder things.  Boozing will take place in Manchester on the Saturday night.

3rd – 5th November The Vrynwy Visit (The spelling is right this time Rhian)

Reliable white water, and our own cottage complete with log fire.  MMMMMH! COSY!

(There’s no room for modesty on this trip)

17th – 19th November Dumfries

What can I say about this except “Beware of the BEAST”.

1st – 3rd December I can’t believe we’re in the North East Weekend!!

You won’t believe it, who’d have thought you’d find such luxury accommodation up in the wilds of the North.  The place we are staying in has gained something of a reputation in the club for being rather plush.  Oh and there’s canoeing as well.  Don’t miss it!

15th – 17th December Xmas Comes Early in Mid-Wales (This trip may or may not run depending on term dates etc)

It’s our turn to scare the sheep.  Wild rivers and wilder nights all at an old pal of ours gaff.  The Mid Wales trip is legendary. SWEEET!!
